Your week on the farm
This 5 day programme includes choice of accommodation (Space House), 3 meals a day, 4 workshop sessions including and Introduction to Permaculture and an Introduction to Syntropic Agroforestry, How to Design and Plant an Intense Syntropic Line, Introduction to Water plus visits to at least 2 other local farms depending on your interests – livestock management, permaculture and syntropic farming.
The week will also include discussions about the design of your own farm and support as needed with how to find an appropriate property.
The days will start after breakfast at 10am and end at 4pm with an hour for lunch. The focus is on practical permaculture, short presentations then hands-on preparing and planting. The 5 days is about working together to understand the land, plan and then to create guilds and syntropic lines. You will be provided with resources to help in the understanding of permaculture and syntropic agriculture.
At 4pm you will be able to chill out, read, bathe in the river, walk through the valley and take in the exceptional views or even visit local sites such as river beaches and reservoirs.
Food will be provided in the Waterhouse, a natural build house that has a kitchen, 2 showers and loo as well as plenty of room for chilling out.
